What mounting system do I need for my Rev Tent?

The Rev Tent is ready to use on the ground or in the back of a Ute / pick-up truck (w/ a bed at least 120cm wide) right out of the box. If the Rev Tent doesn't fit inside your vehicle for transport (closed it's 120 cm x 107 cm x 22 cm), you will need a way to attach it to your vehicle roof to get it to your camp site. You can use the Rev Straps with any load bars, or the Rev Straps and Rev Door hooks to attach directly to a vehicle roof top.

It's only 11kg, so it's easy to move around and carry!

To sleep in the Rev Tent on top of a vehicle, you'll need the Rev Rack Tent and a large enough platform style roof rack (122cm x 213cm)

The Rev Rack Tent comes with a choice of mounting systems for different brand and style roof racks.

In the future we will offer the Rev Platform in Australia, which allows you to camp on top of a vehicle even if you dont have a large enough platform style roof rack.

What Shipping Methods Are Available?

In Australia we offer standard shipping via Australia Post or Fed Ex/TNT depending on the size of the package(s).

All C6 Outdoor products ship from Brisbane.

Please give us 24 hours to process your order, an in 2-8 days you'll recieve your package (s). You'll get tracking information as soon as your order is processed and picked up by the carrier.

Why don't you sell the Rev Roof Top Tent in Australia?

We're going to! Due the insane popularity, we're back ordered on Rev Platform inventory for Australia. In the meantime, order a Rev Tent for use on the ground, and upgrade to the platform when they're available!

Where are the instructions?

We've gone digital. All instructions can be found on the specific product page in the SUPPORT tab. Our instructions are designed to be viewed on your phone or tablet. If you're going to need instructions while offline, away from the internet, be sure to download them first!

How do I RETURN an item?

If you’d like to make a return or exchange, PLEASE CALL US FIRST at (07) 4803 8393 for a RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization number). For more information on returns READ THIS.

Do I have to pay anything to return my items?

Depends. If there's a problem with the product, no. If it's been less than 30 days and you are not happy with your product, and you didn't get Free Shipping, no. In most other circumstances, you will be responsible for the return shipping cost.

What are you looking for?

  1. In order to mount the Rev Rack Tent on your rack, you will need a platform style roof rack with flat surface of at least 48” x 84” / 1220mm x 2134mm with gaps between the slats no greater than 8” /203mm.
  2. Front Runner or Yakima / Rhino Rack Option: your Rev Rack Tent ships with 6 stainless steel eye nuts and appropriate track bolts.
  3. For “other” roof rack option: your Rev Rack Tent will come with a set of 4 Rev Straps that can be used to secure the tent to a wide variety of appropriately sized platform style roof racks for transport and sleep.

Before purchasing the Rev Roof Top Tent, please review these important facts:

  1. You will be adding weight to your vehicle. This will alter your gas mileage (for the worse!). When carrying a Roof Top Tent on a vehicle you may hear whistling and added noise.
  2. Bolting stuff to the outside of your vehicle is not for the faint-hearted! Make sure you read, follow step by step, and understand the installation instructions and ALL WARNINGS before traveling with a Roof Top Tent.
  3. It will take 5-10 minutes to ready the Rev Roof Top Tent for camping. It is not magic! In order to use the Rev Roof Top Tent there are 3 components that need to be set up. First: The tent poles need to be assembled. Second: The platform needs to be positioned. And lastly: The tent needs to be attached to the platform.
  4. It is recommended that you store the tent and platform off of the vehicle when not being used for camping. This will help the gas mileage and prolong the life of your Rev Roof Top Tent components. This is how the Rev Roof Top Tent was conceived. If you want to turn your vehicle in to a full-time, year-round 365 day camping machine, the Rev Roof Top Tent might not be the best solution for you.
  5. Review and understand our return policy. These products are not cheap to ship. And they are just as expensive to ship back if you don’t understand exactly what you’re getting and would like to make a return.
  6. We want you to be fully informed and 100% satisfied with your Rev Roof Top Tent. After all, you’re trusting us with your camp shelter and this is an investment for a lifetime of camping comfort and outdoor fun!
