One tent. Three Elevations. Endless possibilities.
Show of hands? No one? You deserve to wake up fresh for any adventure. Whether hitting the trail for a hike or a ride, climbing that rock face, catching a wave, or just chilling with a book and keeping the campfire stoked, give your body a well earned rest and upgrade to a legit night of deep camp sleep on a real mattress in the Rev Tent.
Transport the Rev Tent to your camp destination in the back of an SUV, in the bed of a pick-up truck, or on a roof rack, load bars, factory rails, or even attached directly to a vehicle roof.
For vehicle roof top camping, the Rev Tent can be mounted directly to any flat platform style roof rack (48”x 84”/ 1220mm 2134mm or larger) by popular brands like Front Runner, Yakima and Rhino.
For vehicle roof top camping without the appropriate sized flat roof rack, use the optional Rev Platform. The Rev Platform mounts to most cross bars and roof racks just like a traditional Roof Top Tent.
For the most comfortable sleep on the Ground or in the bed of a Pick-up Truck, no roof rack or base platform is needed. The Rev Tent is ready to camp right out of the box!
Rev Tent Features:• A comfortable tri-layer 4” foam mattress w/ puffy quilted topper
For ground and pick-up bed camping, the Rev Tent is ready to go out of the box.
For securing the Rev Tent to your Front Runner, Yakima or Rhino Roof Rack for sleeping and transport, you’ll want either the Front Runner Transport & Sleep Mount Kit, or the Yakima / Rhino Transport & Sleep Mount Kit.
For camping on a vehicle without the proper size or style roof rack, there’s the Rev Platform.
If you want to carry your Rev Tent on the roof of your vehicle to your camping destination, you may need Rev Straps, Rev Door Hooks, or Front Runner Rack Transport Kit, or Yakima / Rhino Rack Transport Kit.
NOTE: Fabric is CPAI Fire Retardant Compliant
Assembly, use and care instructions live in the cloud and are not included in the tent packaging. Check them out in the SUPPORT tab.
Q: HOW DO I GET IN MY TENT?
A: If you’re set up on a roof rack: However you want! Do you have a rear vehicle ladder? Spare tire and bumper you can climb on? Go for it. Tailgate, or strong hood? Just lift yourself up. No ladder needed. If you don’t have a vehicle that works for climbing, the optional ladder works with all roof racks (the ladder includes jumbo rubber padded hooks at the top) and can be placed on either side or the rear of the vehicle.
If you use the Rev Tent Platform: just climb up the included ladder!
For ground campers, there are 4 doors that double as windows. No more climbing over your sleep partner to get in or out of the tent! And we’ve made sure the side tent openings are super tall so you don’t have to commando crawl in to the tent.
Q: I WANT TO CAMP ON THE GROUND NOW, BUT MAY WANT TO CAMP ON MY VEHICLE LATER. CAN I UPGRADE?
A: The Rev Tent can be set up on the ground or in the back of a pick-Up truck* right out of the box. The Rev Tent comes with Guylines and Tent Stakes. When you’re ready to vehicle top camp, if you have the appropriate roof rack*, all you’ll need is a mounting kit (for Front Runner, Yakima or Rhino Racks 48” x 84” / 1220 mm x 2134 mm or larger). If you have load bars or a smaller roof rack, you’ll need to purchase the Rev Tent platform.
Q: HOW DO I STORE MY REV TENT?
A: We recommend hanging it on your garage wall. If you don’t have a garage, you can store it under your bed, or in a walk in closet. You can even break the mattress down and store the tent in the original boxes if necessary.
Q: HOW DO I GET MY REV TENT TO THE CAMPSITE?
A: The closed Rev Tent is 47.25” L x 42.25” W x 8.5” T / 120 cm x 107 cm x 22 cm. It only weighs 25 lbs. You can throw it in the bed of your pick up, or the trunk of a SUV. The folded Rev Tent even fits in the back of a Tesla with the seats down.
Most will carry the Rev Tent to the adventure destination on a vehicle roof. The outer case has plenty of tabs with grommets for multiple strapping options. We recommend using the Rev Straps for attachment to load / cross bars or any roof rack. You can even strap the tent directly to your vehicle roof using the Rev Straps along with the Rev Door Hooks.
If you have a Front Runner, Rhino or Yakima Roof Rack, 48” x 84” / 1220 mm x 2134mm or larger, you can secure your tent to the rack with the appropriate mount kit. (Front Runner rack Transport Kit, Yakima / Rhino Rack Transport kit)
Q: WHAT ROOF RACKS CAN I USE TO SET UP MY REV TENT FOR SLEEPING?
A: While you can transport your Rev Tent on smaller roof racks, to open the Rev Tent and secure it for sleeping, you will need a flat platform style roof rack 48” x 84” / 1220mm x 2134mm or larger. The Rev Tent has been designed to attach at specific points to these following Front Runner, Rhino and Yakima Racks:
FRONT RUNNER Slimline II : any roof rack at least 11 slats long (85” / 2166mm or longer) This includes Slimline II Racks for the Jeep JKU, Jeep JL, Land Rover LR3/LR4, old and new Defender 110, G-Wagen, Toyota Land Cruiser 200, Toyota 4Runner, all Sprinter Vans and much more. (Note: the Rev Tent is not compatible with Expedition Rail Kit Sides on the narrowest 1255mm rack)
YAKIMA Lock-N-Load Platform: size E (84” x 49”), size N (84” x 54”), size H (84” x 62”) (Note: The Rev Tent will not work with the Perimeter Rail Kit.)
RHINO Pioneer Platform: 42115B (107”x 58 “ / 2728 x 1465 mm), 42107B/52107 (84” x 49”/ 2128mm x 1236mm), 42104B/52104 (84”x56” / 2128mm x1426mm), 42105B/42115BF/42119BF (107”x 58” / 2528mm x 1586mm) (Note: The Rev Tent does not play nice with the Front and Side Rail Kits. We recommend a completely flat deck)
Because the Rev Tent case features a variety of tabs with mounting points, the Rev Tent can also work with other brand appropriately sized platform style roof racks. For use with Prinsu Racks you'd need to add additional slats to create proper support for tent. You may need to get creative and take a few trips to the hardware store for the appropriate nuts and bolts to secure the tent to the platform. To extend the usable life of your tent, we recommend removing tent from the sun and elements when not in use.
When your Rev Tent gets wet, you must air dry it completely before zipping it up. We also recommend storing the tent with a gap in the zipper. Leave an opening for a little breathing room!
